Spinal Surgical Documentary filmed at clinic

Representatives from the national headquarters of Biomet Spine traveled from New Jersey to Tifton to interview Dr. Edward Hellman and film a documentary. The documentary discussed the evolution of techniques used in performing spinal surgeries for discogenic back pain, particularly as it relates to the development of newer techniques in performing the anterior lumbar inter-body fusion including the solitaire implant. The segment was then used at the national meeting of Biomet Spine to help in the training of spine surgical representatives for the company. -“In the thirteen years I have been in practice in spinal surgery, there has been an enormous advancement in the use of newer, less invasive surgical techniques to improve patient outcome. We were happy to assist in the development of this documentary to help train their staff.” sates Dr. Hellman
